Description
Alley24 is a 490,000-square-foot, four-building project that features office space, underground parking, retail and housing. Aufbau performed preconstruction services for the entire project, but served as general contractor for only the six-story office building/underground parking and retail. The office building shell and core achieved GFH Silver certification, with features such as operable windows to provide natural ventilation and two types of exterior window blinds to shade the building from the sun.
Initial challenges included underground relocation of overhead utilities surrounding the jobsite. Project site required considerable remediation.
